Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi<\/a> was profoundly moved by taking part in the Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat during a recent trip to the holy city of Varanasi \u2014 a ritual he called \u201ca mesmerising experience.”<\/p>\n

Siddhant, who is originally from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, has always had a particular connection to Varanasi. He revealed that he often spent his childhood summers visiting family in the city (his cousins were students at Banaras Hindu University) and walking the university campus, tasting local cuisine and visiting the ghats.<\/p>\n

During his latest trip, Siddhant visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and performed the Ganga aarti, which was arranged by Ganga Seva Nidhi.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the spiritual comfort the ritual provided, he told The Times of India, \u201cAttending the Ganga aarti is always a mesmerising experience, there is so much peace here and it always feels like coming home.”<\/p>\n

Siddhant Chaturvedi Attends Ganga Aarti<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a social media post accompanying his visit, Siddhant embraced the city\u2019s vibe, captioning one series of photographs with the phrase \u201cChora Ganga kinare waala!” \u2014 an emotive nod to his attachment to the sacred riverbank.<\/p>\n

His walk across the city was nostalgic as well as spiritual. As he strolled around the lanes, he reminisced about his favourite culinary customs: beginning the day with kachori-sabzi and jalebi, finishing it off with kulhad (earthen cup) tea, and indulging in Banarasi delicacies.<\/p>\n

Siddhant also made a statement about the city\u2019s transformation, stating that \u201cit is far more organised and cleaner than it was before,” recognising attempts to improve while maintaining its historic charm.<\/p>\n

Siddhant Chaturvedi\u2019s Dhadak 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following an impressive theatrical run, Siddhant\u2019s most recent movie, Dhadak 2, has now debuted digitally on Netflix. The film has rapidly garnered popularity online and received a great deal of praise for his brilliant performance.<\/p>\n

He claimed that the quality of the script, not the star or amount of screen time, is what drives his movie choices. \u201cEven in my first film Gully Boy, I had just 20 minutes of screen time, but it made an impact. I am really confident about my craft and want to be part of stories that strike a chord with people,” he told TOI.<\/p>\n

His opinions on artificial intelligence in filmmaking were also discussed; he said that although it is an inevitable development, its abuse should be prevented. \u201cWe cannot avoid or run away from AI as this is the future, but we should make the right use of it\u2026 Everything is changing around us, the social media is there, the technology will progress, and we are not going back anymore,” Siddhant said.<\/p>\n
