To enhance regional connectivity and ease travel for commuters between Bidar and Bengaluru Cantonment stations, the Indian Railways has introduced a special daily train service between the two stations. The new service would benefit both cities as it offers a more reliable and comfortable travel option.<\/p>\n

The train service recently commenced operations and offers morning and evening schedules. The train incorporates air-conditioned coaches, providing a convenient and pleasant journey.<\/p>\n

Before the launch of this service, direct travel options between Bidar and Bengaluru were limited, often forcing travellers to commute via lengthy road journeys or inconvenient connections.<\/p>\n

\nThe service would support tourism in both regions. The city of Bengaluru is widely recognised as the tech technological and entrepreneurial capital of India and attracts millions of visitors each year for its mix of modern infrastructure, cultural experiences, and green spaces.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Bidar offers a different charm steeped in history and heritage. It is famous for its forts, palaces, Indo-Islamic architecture and draws visitors with an interest in history and traditional craftsmanship.

\nSpeaking about the new service, a railway official told ANI, “We expect this connection to not only improve local commuting but also encourage tourism and business exchange between the two cities.”<\/p>\n

Moreover, the route opens up opportunities for travellers to explore more cities in South India. The route is suitable for those looking to get away for a weekend getaway or a planned heritage tour.<\/p>\n

in related travel news in Bengaluru, which has been facing flak over Karnataka poor condition of roads, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that 13,000 potholes have been filled in the city and plans are underway to upgrade roads in a \u20b91,100 crore project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shivakumar said that 13,000 potholes in the city have been filled so far, and his plan was to find a “permanent solution” to Bengaluru’s road issues.\u00a0He said he has instructed officials to chalk out a \u20b9<\/span>1,100 crore action plan to develop 550 km arterial roads in the city.<\/p>\n

Shivakumar inspected pothole repair and road works underway in various parts of the city.\u00a0According to officials, about 4,000-5,000 potholes identified by authorities will be fixed in stages.<\/p>\n

Last week, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave 30 days to officials to ensure that all the roads in the city were motorable.<\/p>\n

“The officials are following the government’s orders and are filling the potholes. In addition, I have instructed them to prepare an action plan worth Rs 1,100 crore for the development of 550 km long arterial roads,” Shivakumar said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
