Rishab Shetty\u2019s Kantara that released in 2022 became a milestone for the Kannada film industry. However, it received flak for its portrayal of women, particularly the character played by Sapthami Gowda. It was criticised for the protagonist Shiva\u2019s misogynistic behaviour and the voyeuristic depiction of his love interest as passive and villainous. Now, as Kantara Chapter 1 has released in theatres, Rishab seemingly takes a jibe at those criticisms. Speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, he says, \u201cI don\u2019t agree when you say that Kantara is a man\u2019s world. The character of the mother (played by Manasi Sudhir) in the first film was very prominent. The character of the daiva nartak is key in the story but the mother\u2019s role is also very important.”<\/p>\n

Comedian Samay Raina recently featured in a cheeky advertisement for a cosmetic brand with Yuzvendra Chahal\u2019s rumoured girlfriend RJ Mahvash. In the ad, Samay seemingly took jabs at Chahal\u2019s ex-wife Dhanashree Verma. While neither of them directly named Dhanashree, they made a series of references that fans believe were clear jabs at her and her past with the cricketer. Samay Raina spoke about his \u2018rise and fall\u2019 within two months, and also appeared to reference the alleged Rs 4.75 crore alimony. He also wore a T-shirt with \u201cBe Your Own Sugar Daddy” printed on it. Yuzvendra reacted to Samay and Mahvash\u2019s ad, warning the comedian to \u2018be ready for one more case\u2019.<\/p>\n

Punjabi singer <\/span>Rajvir<\/span> Jawanda is battling for his life after a serious bike accident on Saturday, September 27, in Himachal Pradesh. The 35-year-old singer was reportedly heading to Shimla when he lost control of his bike near the <\/span>Baddi<\/span> area, resulting in a severe crash.
