NSDL IPO Allotment Status Today:<\/strong> The allotment of the NSDL IPO, which was closed on Friday, is expected to be finalised today, Monday, August 4, in the evening. Investors can check the IPO allotment status on the websites of BSE, NSE or registrar link Intime. The GMP of the IPO, which received a huge subscription at 41.02x, stands at 15%, indicating decent listing gains.<\/p>\n

The initial public offering<\/a> of National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) was open between July 30 and August 1. The mainboard issue of Rs 4,011.16 crore is purely offer-on-sale (OFS). The company has fixed a price band in the range of Rs 760 to Rs 800 per share. On the final day of bidding on Friday, the issue received a 41.02 times subscription, garnering bids for 1,44,08,34,768 shares as against the 3,51,27,002 shares on offer. The retail and NII participation stood at 7.76x and 34.98x, respectively. The QIB category has received a 103.97x subscription.<\/p>\n

The NSDL IPO allotment will most likely take place in the evening today, Monday, August 4. Once finalised, the allotment status can be checked online by following these steps:<\/p>\n

1) Go to the official BSE website via the URL \u2014 https:\/\/www.bseindia.com\/investors\/appli_check.aspx<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2) Under \u2018Issue Type\u2019, select \u2018Equity\u2019.<\/p>\n

3) Under \u2018Issue Name\u2019, select \u2018National Securities Depository Ltd\u2019 in the dropbox.<\/p>\n

4) Enter your application number, or the Permanent Account Number (PAN). Those who want to check their allotment status via PAN can select the \u2018Permanent Account Number\u2019 option.<\/p>\n

5) Then, click on the \u2018I am not a robot\u2019 to verify yourself and hit the \u2018Search\u2019 option.<\/p>\n

Your share application status will appear on your screen.<\/p>\n

NSDL IPO GMP Today<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to market observers, unlisted shares of NSDL are currently trading at Rs 920 against the upper IPO price of Rs 800. It means a grey market premium or GMP of Rs 120, which is 15% over its issue price.<\/p>\n

The GMP is based on market sentiments and keeps changing. \u2018Grey market premium\u2019 indicates investors\u2019 readiness to pay more than the issue price.<\/p>\n

NSDL IPO: More Info<\/strong><\/p>\n

The IPO only consists of an offer for sale (OFS) component of 5.01 crore shares and those selling shares under this are \u2014 the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank, Union Bank of India and the Adminstrator of Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India (SUUTI). Since the public issue is entirely an OFS, NSDL will not receive any proceeds from the IPO.<\/p>\n

The listing of NSDL is crucial in order to comply with Sebi\u2019s ownership norms. These regulations require that no entity can hold more than 15 per cent of the shareholding in a depository company.<\/p>\n

NSDL\u2019s principal shareholders, IDBI Bank and the NSE, are required to reduce their stake in the company to comply with Sebi\u2019s rule. Currently, IDBI holds 26.10 per cent and NSE owns 24 per cent stake in NSDL, which exceeds the permissible limit.<\/p>\n
