OpenAI has unleashed the Sora 2 AI model for video generation and the company has introduced the Sora app that lets people generate and edit AI videos using text prompts. Sora has been around for a while but Google\u2019s Veo 3 has taken the lead with its own app that allows people to create exciting videos with prompts and other context.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OpenAI claims the Sora 2 AI model is giving you videos that are \u201cexceptionally difficult and outright impossible”, for earlier video AI models have failed to do so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The current AI models that generate videos have this special character that makes it easy for people to differentiate between a regular video and an AI video. The company claims Sora 2 will do better with the physics in a video which means the waves in a sea will have shadows and the impact of the wave will not look like a block on the boat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sora 2 App For iPhones: Should Instagram And TikTok Worry?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sora app makes all the new abilities of Sora 2 AI model possible for mobile users. It does compete with TikTok and Instagram but the Google Veo 3 has shown how people can let their imagination fly and generate some high-quality videos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sora is available for iPhone users in Canada and the US for now and its access needs an invite. OpenAI wants the ChatGPT Pro to get first dibs on the new app but expect more users to get in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

With Sora 2 you can create backgrounds in a video with audio and sound effects which definitely adds a realistic touch and experience to the AI content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sora app makes all of this happen on the phone where you can even remix the videos, add yourself to the fun and share with friends. If all this makes the Sora app sound like TikTok or Instagram, you\u2019re right. It\u2019s just that the AI element from OpenAI takes the Sora app one step further and probably shows you the future of social media in the present.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sora app lets you float in the space, turn any exciting idea into videos with the right prompt, and insert yourself in some of the popular remixed videos. The \u2018upload yourself\u2019 feature in the Sora app has the potential to become OpenAI\u2019s Studio Ghibli style” for videos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Having said that, OpenAI has a word of caution about the new AI video tool claiming, \u201cthe model is far from perfect and capable of making mistakes,” which is understandable but a worrying admission and a warning for people looking to use the app for AI videos. <\/span><\/p>\n
