Just like every year, the Mukerji family rings in the Durga Puja festival in spirit, but this year isn\u2019t as simple as every year, with the family dealing with the loss of Deb Mukherjee. Today, on the seventh day of Navratri, Kajol took to her social media and shared a series of pictures from the Puja Pandal and attached them with a heartwarming caption.<\/p>\n

While sharing the series of pictures, Kajol<\/a> wrote, \u201cThe unveiling\u2026 such an emotional moment\u2026 to step on the pandal after this past year and all our losses, somehow it was dearer and at the same time so tough to do\u2026 we miss them all \ud83d\ude4f\u2764\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n

In the pictures, Kajol appeared in a cream silk saree paired with a red blouse, while Rani Mukerji chose a white saree with a floral border, presenting a graceful appearance. Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji joined the sisters, donning a white kurta-pyjama for the occasion. Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol\u2019s actress sister, wore a lemon saree as she joined the celebrations.<\/p>\n

Earlier, in a video going viral, the family was seen getting emotional at the Durga Puja Pandal as they missed their beloved uncle Deb Mukherjee. Rani, Kajol, and Tanishaa were all seen with teary eyes as they hugged each other.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Tanishaa also spoke about the emotional significance of this year\u2019s Durga Puja. While speaking to IANS, she said, \u201cIt is a time of little sadness for our family, along with a little excitement, because this year there have been three deaths in our family. Our Debu Kaka (Deb Mukherjee), who used to organise Durga Puja every year, is no more, and for us it would be a little difficult to attend the puja this time. However, there is a lot of excitement as well because we are taking his dream forward.”<\/p>\n

Tanishaa added that Deb Mukherjee had always hoped the festivities would grow grander each year, and the family intends to honour his vision, including special plans on social media.<\/p>\n

The actress further shared, \u201cDeb Mukherjee wanted more people to be given food on Durga Puja, so this year, we aim to feed a large number of people during the festivities.”<\/p>\n

Deb Mukherjee passed away on March 14 at the age of 83.<\/a><\/p>\n
