Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav has pledged to donate his entire match fee from the Asia Cup 2025 to the Indian Army after leading India to it\u2019s ninth continental title in Dubai, beating Pakistan by 5 wickets on Sunday. \u201cI personally want to give all my match fee from this tournament to the Indian Army,” Suryakumar Yadav said during the post-match presentation.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the post-match trophy controversy \u2013 where India declined to accept the Asia Cup trophy from ACC President and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi \u2013 Yadav remarked, \u201cI think this is one thing that I have never seen since I started playing cricket, since I started following cricket, that a champion team is denied to get a trophy. I mean that, too, a hard-earned one\u2026I feel we deserved it and I can\u2019t say anything more.<\/p>\n

Explaining the team\u2019s decision, he stated, \u201cWe as a team decided not to take the trophy [from Mohsin Naqvi]. Nobody told us individually. But I feel a team that wins the tournament deserves the trophy.”<\/p>\n
