Jasprit Bumrah said that India will take confidence from their two wins over Pakistan so far in the Asia Cup 2025, but in the final encounter, both teams start from scratch.<\/p>\n

In the previous two encounters earlier in the tournament, India successfully chased the targets set by Pakistan on both occasions.<\/p>\n

Asked about facing Pakistan thrice in the same tournament, Bumrah called it \u2018interesting\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been exciting. Not very often in a multinational tournament you play one opposition three times, so interesting is the word for me,” Jasprit Bumrah was quoted as saying to the broadcaster.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny game, you start from zero. You start with confidence, but you do not go too high or too low. We only focus on our teams, our strengths, our combinations, we do well. If we look at the other team, it does not work well.,” he added.<\/p>\n

India enters the final undefeated, while Pakistan has suffered two losses, both against their arch-rival.<\/p>\n

When asked about his role bowling in the Powerplay, Bumrah said that the team thinktank wants him to bowl upfront, adding that he did it back in 2016 when he was pretty new to the internationals.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a different role. The team has wanted to use me up front. Something that is very new for me as well. Not used to doing this role. Remember doing it in 2016 when I first came into the side. Trying to contribute to the best of my ability,” Bumrah said.<\/p>\n

Bumrah also admitted that in the T20 format, players don\u2019t look at reputation, adding that IPL has helped him a lot and youngsters too are confident enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this format, you do not look at reputation. IPL has helped a lot. Youngsters in our team are confident and they know they are very good,” Bumrah said.<\/p>\n
