Ranbir Kapoor turns 43 today, but while fans celebrate his birthday, another piece of news has captured everyone\u2019s attention \u2013 Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The moment marks a new chapter for Bollywood\u2019s star couple, and it has also brought back a light-hearted wish Ranbir once made on Koffee With Karan about Deepika and Ranveer\u2019s future together.<\/p>\n

Ranbir\u2019s memorable KWK moment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back in 2016, Ranbir Kapoor joined Ranveer Singh on Koffee With Karan season 5, where host Karan Johar couldn\u2019t resist revisiting the shared history between Ranbir and Deepika. Dismissing any awkwardness, Ranbir said, \u201cWe\u2019ve positively moved on in our lives and it\u2019s high time that Koffee with Karan also moves on. Because there\u2019s no elephant, it has disappeared, it is invisible.”<\/p>\n

When asked if their past ever bothered Ranveer, the actor replied with a smile, \u201cNo. Why should it? Should it?”<\/p>\n

The wish that came true<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ranbir, in that same conversation, had praised the couple\u2019s bond. \u201cJust the way they are with each other, they complement each other very well. They are in ways perfect to each other\u2019s energies and I am really happy for them and I hope that they can see this through and make some really awesome babies together and I hope their babies like me as an actor and that I am their favourite actor.”<\/p>\n

Ranveer, known for his quick wit, joked that Ranbir had gone off-script that day \u2013 but the remark has now aged in the sweetest way, as Deepika and Ranveer begin their journey as parents.<\/p>\n

From then to now<\/strong><\/p>\n

The couple tied the knot in 2018 after six years of dating. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor married Alia Bhatt in 2022, and the two are parents to their daughter Raha. Eight years since that KWK episode, both Deepika\u2013Ranveer and Ranbir\u2013Alia have moved forward, building happy families of their own.<\/p>\n

\u201cHi, I want to take this moment to say thank you to all of you for all the love and wishes coming to me on my birthday. I\u2019m 43 years old today. As you can see, a lot of greys in my beard. It keeps increasing year by year. But a lot of gratitude in my heart for my family, for my friends, for my work, and mostly for all you guys. Thank you so much for your time. You make me feel so special,” Ranbir said in the heartfelt video.<\/p>\n
