Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal\u2019s much-publicised divorce proceedings made the headlines back in the day. When we thought the dust had finally settled, Dhanashree once again found herself in the eye of the storm, with her latest statement on alimony. Reportedly, the cricketer paid Rs 4.75 crore in permanent alimony to his ex-wife.<\/p>\n

Now, on the Prime Video reality show Rise and Fall, Dhanashree broke her silence on the alimony speculations. She revealed that all the claims regarding her demanding a specific alimony amount were incorrect.<\/p>\n

Dhanashree Verma, in a conversation with Rise and Fall contestant and singer Aditya Narayan, shared that it \u201chas almost been a year” since her divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal. She revealed that they had been married for four years and dating for 6-7 months. \u201cIt happened quickly because it was mutual; that is why when people say alimony, it is wrong,” she said.<\/p>\n

The internet personality and dance choreographer added, \u201cJust because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining to those who do not even know you?”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, contestant Nayandeep Rakshit wanted to know why Dhanashree did not clarify the alimony speculations. To this, she replied, \u201cEventually, you get hurt when you see that happening. It was not needed. None of it is true. I felt worse wondering why he did it. It is okay, I will always keep his respect, that is what I believe in. Now, I do not think I can date anybody.”<\/p>\n

Dhanashree Verma Under Attack For Alimony Remarks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dhanashree\u2019s remarks, however, did not sit well with social media users. In the particular clip, now going viral on X, naysayers slammed the choreographer for her comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cDhanashree built her career on divorce and alimony talk. Now she knows the real drawbacks of seeking alimony,” commented an individual.<\/p>\n

\u201cDhanashree\u2019s whole career is surviving on the divorce and alimony topic,” agreed another.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow is she so dumb? She thinks what she has taken from Chahal is not alimony,” read a sarcastic remark.<\/p>\n
