The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged an official complaint with the ICC against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for expressing solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and dedicating his team\u2019s victory to the Indian Armed Forces involved in Operation Sindoor. His comments were made after India\u2019s Asia Cup Group A match against Pakistan on September 14.<\/p>\n

The PCB claims Surya\u2019s comments are \u201cpolitical”.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s unclear when exactly the PCB filed the complaint as it must occur within seven days of the said comment.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that ICC match referee Richie Richardson has sought an explanation from Surya regarding his comments during the post-match presentation and press conference.<\/p>\n

According to Dainik Jagran,<\/em> after reviewing the reports and evidence, Richardson concluded that Surya\u2019s remarks have damaged the image of the game, thus establishing the charges against him.<\/p>\n

If the Indian captain denies the charges, an official hearing will be conducted, attended by Richardson, Suryakumar, and a representative from the PCB.<\/p>\n

India have qualified for the final of the tournament following their 41-run win over Bangladesh on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Naqvi Posts Cryptic CR7 Video<\/h2>\n

Meanwhile, adding fuel to the fire, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi posted a slow-motion video of Cristiano Ronaldo on \u2018X\u2019 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

In the video, the Portuguese legend gestures as if an aircraft suddenly crashed, something that Rauf indicated on-field during the arch-rivals\u2019 clash last Sunday.<\/p>\n

Naqvi is also the \u2018Interior Minister\u2019 of his country and is known for making provocative statements against India. In the video, Ronaldo might well be explaining how his direct free-kick dipped and entered the goal.<\/p>\n

Whether the Indian team, now finalists of the Asia Cup, will share the dais with the ACC Chairman remains to be seen. The matter has not gone unnoticed by both BCCI and ICC officials.<\/p>\n
