Navratri Day 3 Puja Vidhi And Aarti:<\/strong> Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped on the third day of the nine-day festival. This year, on September 24, Wednesday, Devi Maa will be offered prayers that signify the feminine power of the Divine, encouraging self-discipline and emotional growth.<\/p>\n

The colour of the day is Royal Blue, which symbolises trustworthiness, confidence, and a sense of calm. On this day, Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped, who represents the married form of the Goddess Parvati. Goddess Chandraghanta Is Worshipped On The Third Day Of Navratri<\/h2>\n

According to the Shaiva Sampradaya and the list of Navratri Goddesses, which is mostly followed in North India, Goddess Mahagauri begins adorning her forehead with half a Chandra after marrying Lord Shiva. Additionally, the planet Shukra is governed by the Goddess Chandraghanta, due to which this day is celebrated for this particular form of Devi Maa.<\/p>\n

Goddess Chandraghanta sits on the tigress and conveys the message of peace. But in this form, Maa Parvati is also ready for a war for the welfare of her devotees with all her weapons \u2013 Trishul, Gada, Sword and Kamandal in her four left hands and lotus flower, Arrow, Dhanush and Japa Mala in her four right hands. Meanwhile, the fifth left hand is in Varada Mudra and the fifth right hand in Abhaya Mudra.<\/p>\n

Goddess Chandraghanta\u2019s Puja Vidhi<\/h2>\n

On the third day of Navratri, devotees must perform the following puja vidhis to seek the blessings of Goddess Chandraghanta:<\/p>\n

  1. First, take a bath right in the morning and wear clean and washed clothes.<\/li>\n
  2. Then, cleanse the puja area and decorate the place with jasmine flowers, which are the favourite ones of the goddess.<\/li>\n
  3. Light a ghee lamp, a camphor and place an image or idol of this form of Goddess Parvati on a raised and clean platform.<\/li>\n
  4. She should be adorned with beautiful clothes and the half-chandra bindi on her forehead, which is believed to expel all types of spirits away from her devotees.<\/li>\n
  5. Offer flowers, fruits and sweets to the goddess and invoke her with the chanting of mantras.<\/li>\n
  6. Then recite the mantras and chants, and also perform the aarti, and seek blessings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
