All eyes were on Janhvi Kapoor<\/a>, Vishal Jethwa and Ishaan Khatter as they arrived in style for the special screening of their much-awaited film Homebound. With the theatrical release just days away on September 26, the trio made sure to bring their glam energy and warm chemistry to the red carpet. But it wasn\u2019t just their fashion that got everyone talking. Instead, the highlight of the evening was a small, heartwarming moment between Janhvi and Vishal.<\/p>\n

As Janhvi made her way inside the venue, Vishal Jethwa almost stepped on her saree. Realising it instantly, Vishal quickly apologised and Ishaan Khatter, who was right there, also looked concerned. Proving she is kind and graceful, Janhvi smiled at Vishal instead of getting upset, diffusing the situation with her charm.<\/p>\n

After Janhvi walked inside, Vishal and Ishaan posed together for the cameras, showing off their off-camera camaraderie. For the event, Vishal opted for a velvet bandhgala blazer paired with crisp black pants, while Ishaan kept it effortlessly stylish in a white shirt, black trousers and a scarf draped loosely around his neck. The showstopper, however, was Janhvi. She looked absolutely stunning in a navy blue saree, worn by her late mother and legendary actress Sridevi at Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli\u2019s wedding reception.<\/p>\n

Homebound Nominated For Oscars<\/strong><\/p>\n

Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, has already made waves internationally. The film was screened at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Adding to the excitement, the film was recently announced as India\u2019s official entry for the 2026 Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.<\/p>\n

Hours before the special screening, during a press conference in Mumbai, the team shared their excitement about the milestone. Ishaan Khatter expressed his pride, saying, \u201cThis is the film I\u2019m most proud of. Bahut garv hai mujhe ispe\u2026 It\u2019s an extremely important film. Neeraj bhai has made this movie with a lot of thought so that it can reach a wider audience.”<\/p>\n

\u2018This Feels Surreal\u2019: Vishal Jethwa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vishal Jethwa, on the other hand, told IANS, \u201cThis moment feels absolutely surreal; it\u2019s the kind of news every actor dreams of hearing one day. To know that Homebound is representing India on the world\u2019s biggest cinematic stage is beyond anything I imagined when I began my journey in films.”<\/p>\n

Homebound has been produced by Karan Johar\u2019s Dharma Productions and acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese came on board as executive producer.<\/p>\n
