All roads lead to Delhi today as the 71st National Film Awards are finally set to unfold and none other than Karan Johar<\/a> was spotted jetting off in style for the big evening. The celebrated filmmaker, clearly over the moon, was all smiles as he headed to the capital for the grand ceremony and honestly, he looked every bit ready to steal the spotlight at the prestigious event.<\/p>\n

Karan Johar, never one to miss a style moment, stepped out of his car and patiently posed for the paparazzi before heading into the terminal. Dressed in a mustard-coloured blazer with bold motifs layered over a crisp white tee and blue jeans, he nailed the look that was a blend of casual and classy, proving why he is still Bollywood\u2019s undisputed fashion icon.<\/p>\n

The filmmaker is set for the big moment at the ceremony as his film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which released in 2023, has bagged the National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The honour left Karan \u201cecstatic and overwhelmed,” as he wrote in an emotional note soon after the winners were announced on August 1.<\/p>\n

Expressing gratitude to the jury, Karan, in a statement, said, \u201cI am ecstatic and overwhelmed to win the national award for a film exceptionally close to my heart\u2026. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. I am grateful to the jury and continue to be humbled by the enormous love the film continues to receive.”<\/p>\n

In a post on Instagram, the filmmaker also thanked the audience and fans for showering their love upon the film. \u201cIt feels surreal, 2 years on\u2026 to receive so much love for a film that we put so much love in. To have everyone across the world resonate so deeply, that they choose to call the story, the music, the characters, the dance and everything \u2013 their OWN,” he added.<\/p>\n

71st National Film Awards: Where To Take Place<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 71st National Film Awards ceremony will kick off at 4 pm at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Besides the best film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also won Best Choreography for the song Dhindhora Baje Re. It starred Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, alongside Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly joining them as the supporting cast.<\/p>\n
