Pakistan\u2019s celebrations became the main talking point during Monday\u2019s SAFF U-17 Championship clash in Colombo, despite India clinching a thrilling 3-2 victory.<\/p>\n

After scoring his first goal, Pakistan\u2019s Muhammad Abdullah mimicked a plane crashing, a gesture widely interpreted as mocking India\u2019s Rafale jets that were downed earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The incident immediately drew widespread attention, overshadowing the on-field action.<\/p>\n

The taunt sparked memories of a similar act by senior Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf during the recent Asia Cup encounter against India. In that instance, Rauf, while fielding near the boundary, signaled \u20186-0\u2019 with his fingers and mimicked a plane crashing, evoking the deadly conflict between the two nations in May.<\/p>\n

Social media users quickly condemned both gestures as insensitive and inflammatory.<\/p>\n

India Triumphs On The Field<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the pitch, the game itself was a tense, end-to-end affair. India took the lead in the 31st minute through Dallalmuon Gangte, who calmly slotted the ball home.<\/p>\n

Pakistan responded before halftime with a penalty converted by Abdullah to level the scores at 1-1. The second half continued in high tempo, with Gunleiba Wangkeirakpam restoring India\u2019s lead in the 63rd minute, only for Hamza Yasir to equalize for Pakistan seven minutes later. The match-winning goal came from Rahan Ahmed in the 73rd minute, giving India a hard-fought 3-2 victory.<\/p>\n

The win kept India\u2019s perfect record intact, moving them to the top of Group B with three consecutive wins, while both teams had already secured semifinal spots.<\/p>\n

India will now face Bangladesh in the semifinals on September 25.<\/p>\n
