Chrome security risk for Windows and Mac users, and they are being warned.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Chrome is facing another security risk that has alerted the Indian government this month once again, and they are informing millions of users about the issue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chrome users on Windows and Macs have been warned about a serious issue that can make it easy for hackers to bypass the security and steal information. The alert from the Indian government this week is also making millions of PC\/Mac users aware about the situation and asking them to act on these concerns right away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The alert has been issued by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team or CERT-IN, on September 18 comes with a \u2018high-severity\u2019 alert to users of Google Chrome on popular platforms like Windows, macOS and Linux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chrome Security Issue: What Is It?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The CERT-In alert claims some of the important components in the Chrome browser are facing the issues which can be exploited to steal data or have a phishing campaign targeting them. \u201cThese vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to Type Confusion in V8, Heap buffer overflow in ANGLE, Use after free in Dawn and WebRTC. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a victim to visit a specially crafted web page,”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The agency also points out the Chrome Windows and macOS versions facing the risk:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
