In the final league stage match of the Asia Cup, India faced Oman. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India\u2019s batsmen displayed an aggressive approach by hitting multiple fours and sixes. <\/p>\n

However, Oman\u2019s bowlers consistently took wickets, managing to dismiss several Indian players. Despite this, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav<\/a>, who batted at number three against Pakistan, remained padded up but did not take to the field, even as eight wickets fell.<\/p>\n

Explaining his decision at the toss, Suryakumar Yadav said, \u201cWe did not get the opportunity to bat first in the last two matches in this tournament. That is why we want to bat first in the match against Oman.” He further added, \u201cBy batting, we also want to see the team\u2019s batting ability.” Fully fit, Yadav chose to stay on the sidelines to observe his team\u2019s batting performance.<\/p>\n

The Indian innings saw quick dismissals, with the first wicket falling in the second over at just 6 runs. Shubman Gill was out after making only 5 runs. Following him, Abhishek Sharma played aggressively but was dismissed for 38 runs. <\/p>\n

Sanju Samson emerged as the top scorer for India, with an innings of 56 runs off 45 balls. Other notable contributions included Axar Patel with 26 runs, Tilak Verma with 29 runs, and Harshit Rana remaining not out at 13 runs. Despite the steady fall of wickets, Suryakumar Yadav did not come out to bat.<\/p>\n
