A day after Deepika Padukone was ousted from Kalki 2, the actress took to her social media and announced that she has now started shooting for Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s upcoming movie, King. While the announcement left Deepika\u2019s<\/a> fans excited, her actor-husband Ranveer Singh also rushed to the comments section of his ladylove\u2019s post and cheered for her.<\/p>\n

Ranveer praised Deepika\u2019s friendship with Shah Rukh Khan and wrote, \u201cBestest Besties! \ud83d\ude07\ud83e\uddff\u2665\ufe0f”<\/p>\n

Deepika Padukone Begins King Shoot<\/h4>\n

On Friday night, Deepika<\/a> took to her Instagram handle and shared exciting news about reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan for King. She dropped a picture showing their hands clasped together and wrote, \u201cThe very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn\u2019t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I\u2019ve made since. And that\u2019s probably why we\u2019re back making our 6th movie together?”<\/p>\n

Deepika Padukone\u2019s Exit From Kalki 2<\/h4>\n

Vyjayanthi Movies recently confirmed Deepika\u2019s exit from the Kalki 2898 AD sequel via an official note on X: \u201cThis is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future projects.”<\/p>\n

Deepika Demanded A 25% Hike In Fees?<\/h4>\n

Later, a report by Bollywood Hungama also claimed that the Kalki 2 makers decided to drop Deepika because she was demanding a 25 per cent hike in her fees, along with a 7-hour work shift. Reportedly, the makers attempted to negotiate these two demands with the actress, but she remained inflexible.<\/p>\n

The same report also claimed that Deepika travels with an entourage of 25 people. Reportedly, the actress was also demanding five-star accommodation and reimbursement for food throughout the shoot for her team. While the producers tried to negotiate with her and requested her to reduce the team strength, Deepika was firm with her demands.<\/p>\n
