Union home minister Amit Shah<\/a> on Friday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s leadership, emphasising that his resolute actions on national security and terrorism have defined his tenure. In an exclusive interview with Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi, Shah highlighted the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which he said was a crucial step to \u201csecure the nation” and assert that Kashmir is an integral part of India. Shah stated that this move, which came in the first term of PM Modi\u2019s second premiership, will be remembered for its importance in curbing terrorism and strengthening the country\u2019s unity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond this historic decision, Shah underscored the government\u2019s \u201czero-tolerance policy against terrorism”. He cited military operations such as the surgical strikes and the more recent Operation <\/span>Sindoor<\/span> as evidence that this policy is not a mere slogan but a decisive course of action. He referred to past major terror attacks, such as 26\/11 in Mumbai, noting that India\u2019s response in the past was often restrained. In contrast, he said, the Modi government has demonstrated a willingness to deliver a \u201ctough response” to protect India\u2019s borders, army, and citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shah mentioned Operation <\/span>Sindoor<\/span>, which targeted terror bases deep inside Pakistan, as a testament to this resolve. He said the operation \u201cleft the whole world in awe” of India\u2019s action, a feat he attributed directly to the government\u2019s determination. By striking at the source of terrorism and teaching a lesson to those who threaten India\u2019s sovereignty, Shah said that the Modi government has fundamentally changed the country\u2019s security posture and sent a clear message that such actions will not be tolerated.<\/span><\/p>\n
