Apple introduced its thinnest iPhone ever with the new iPhone Air model that could be part of a whole new series for the company. But Apple is not the first brand to make a thin smartphone, in fact, iPhone Air is not even the thinnest working smartphone to be available in the market. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Vivo X1 came out in 2012 which is 13 years back and it featured one of the thinnest designs at the time but still nowhere close to the R5 but decent enough for that era. It had a single 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter. It supported 3G network and Hi-Fi audio range.<\/p>\n

Oppo R5 launched in 2014 had a sub-5mm thin frame and weight of just 155 grams. It carried a 5.2-inch AMOLED display Gorilla Glass 3 protection and offered with Android 4.4 Kitkat-based ColorOS 2 version. Because of its dimensions, you got a 2,000mAh battery with 20W wired charging support.<\/p>\n

Gionee is a brand that people in China and India will be aware of. The Elife S5.1 stands for its 5.2mm thin design and more importantly, this device weighed under 100 grams with 2,050mAh battery which is some feat.<\/p>\n

If you recall Gionee then people in India can\u2019t forget Micromax which was once the leading phone brand in the country. It had the popular Canvas series for buyers which was added with a Sliver variant in 2015 that also got a sleek 5.1mm design and weighed under 100 grams. It had an AMOLED display, a 2000mAh battery and a main 8MP rear camera.<\/p>\n

And the last device is also a Vivo model called the X5 Max that was introduced in 2014. This phone had a large 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and a 2,300mAh battery packed into a 4.8mm thin device which weighed 156 grams.<\/p>\n
