Soha Ali Khan opened up about her bond with Saif Ali Khan.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Soha Ali Khan has always kept family close, but her bond with brother Saif Ali Khan wasn\u2019t always as great. In a new interview with Mashable India, she opened up about how that relationship has taken shape over the years. Saif Ali Khan is nine years older than Soha and their overseas education kept them apart as kids. It was only when both of them started living in Mumbai at the same time that the bond grew manifold.<\/p>\n

\u201cI and Bhai (brother; Saif) are nine years apart, which is a lot. There wasn\u2019t much of an overlap because when I was born, he went abroad for studies. When he came back, he started working in film, and I went to study in Oxford. After coming to Mumbai is when both of us actually started spending time together and became much closer,” she shared.<\/p>\n

Growing up, Saif was more like a mystery to Soha. She said, \u201cHe was a mystery to me while growing up, because he used to study in Winchester and would only come home for the holidays, and he did whatever he wanted to do.”<\/p>\n

The actress recalled, \u201cHe was sort of a rebel as a child, and my parents used to take his example and tell us what not to do. The room that I had growing up actually was his room, but when he came over, I wasn\u2019t allowed to sleep there, because he would often jump out the window at night and come back at unusual hours.”<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did a lot of things, and my parents didn\u2019t let me sleep in that room because they thought I already looked like him, so I should at least not turn out like him. I and my sister used to be very excited for him to come home, because he used to change the energy of the house. You never knew in what state he would turn up; sometimes he would have red hair, blonde hair, or long hair,” Soha concluded.<\/p>\n

As Saif and Soha grew closer, the actor even introduced his little sister to Kareena Kapoor. \u201cI just remember my brother calling me, and we were shooting something or other at that time. He said, \u2018I wanted to let you know that my girlfriend is two years younger than you.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Okay, great!\u2019 That was my introduction,” Soha previously told Zoom. She also revealed that just like with Saif, it took her some time to strengthen her bond with Kareena.<\/p>\n
