At the red carpet celebration for the Season 3 finale in Paris, Jenny Han confirmed that the movie will continue directly from where the series ended. While keeping plot details under wraps, she assured fans the story has more to offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is another big milestone left in Belly\u2019s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I\u2019m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans,” Han said.<\/p>\n

The series, adapted from Han\u2019s bestselling novels, followed Belly as she navigated love, heartbreak, and self-discovery through three seasons. Each installment was based on a book from her trilogy, making the upcoming film an entirely new extension of Belly\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

Prime Video Celebrates A Global Phenomenon<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amazon revealed that The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 debut drew over 25 million viewers worldwide within a week of release, cementing its place as one of the platform\u2019s most successful teen dramas.<\/p>\n

Courtenay Valenti, head of film at Amazon MGM Studios, and Vernon Sanders, Global Head of Television at Prime Video, praised the series\u2019 cultural impact: \u201cThe Summer I Turned Pretty has struck a chord with audiences everywhere, creating moments of joy, nostalgia, and connection that have made it a global sensation. The cast led by Lola Tung, alongside Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, and Rain Spencer, is expected to return for the film. Han will co-showrun with Sarah Kucserka, with both also serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n
