Criticising senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his opposition to the ongoing voter list revision in poll-bound Bihar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said the opposition leader has been campaigning for \u201c<\/span>ghuspaithiya<\/span><\/i>“, by which he meant illegal immigrants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shah said the BJP fully supports the ongoing special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar, which is being conducted by the Election Commission of India (ECI).<\/span><\/p>\n

He, however, accused the opposition of attempting to win elections on the back of appeasement politics and said he wants people to identify those who wanted \u201cinfiltrators” to remain on voter lists.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBJP supports the special intensive revision exercise to cleanse electoral rolls. Rahul baba \u2018ghuspaithiya bachao\u2019 rally nikaal rahe hain (Rahul Gandhi is taking out rallies in support of infiltrators). I want people to recognise such people and parties that want infiltrators to remain on voter lists so that they can win elections with the help of infiltrators,” Shah said during the inauguration and foundation-laying of various projects in New Delhi on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s birthday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Praising Modi, Shah enumerated how India has progressed under his leadership. He spoke about \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019 against Pakistan and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBy 2027, we will become the third-largest economy in the world,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He\u2019s given Delhi more than it deserved, even when Arvind Kejriwal\u2019s government was here\u2026 PM Modi considers 140 crore people his family and dedicated his entire life to their welfare,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He further said it is the PM\u2019s aim to secure the nation, develop it economically, bring new energy, enthusiasm, and convenience to every poor person\u2019s home, and instil the resolve of a great India in every child\u2019s mind.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPM Modi has accomplished all this in his 11 years. The country will long remember these accomplishments of PM Modi\u2026” he said, calling him the world\u2019s most popular leader.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the occasion of Modi\u2019s birthday, Shah said, the BJP has started a new tradition of caring for the welfare of each person during \u2018Seva Pakhwada\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 Today, every citizen of the country, and Indians spread across the world, are heartily praying to God for PM Modi\u2019s long life, good health, and for his long-term service to the nation\u2026 It was decided to celebrate the birthday of the man whose life\u2019s glory and every fibre of his being is dedicated to the service of Mother India, as \u2018Seva Pakhwada\u2019. For 11 years, all of India has been observing this \u2018Seva Pakhwada\u2019 from September 17th to October 2nd\u2026” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, he extended his greetings to Modi on his 75th birthday and said he remains an inspiration for crores of Indians.<\/span><\/p>\n
