A video posted from the official X handle of Assam BJP has snowballed into controversy for allegedly presenting Muslims as illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n

The video titled \u201cAssam Without BJP” shows men in skull caps, apparently Muslims, everywhere from tea states to the airport and Guwahati Accoland. The AI-generated video ends with a message \u201cChoose Your Vote Carefully”.<\/p>\n

Amid criticism, Assam Minister Piyush Hazarika said the video highlighted the threat of illegal immigrants who are changing Assam\u2019s demography.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Fault (read F-alt) gang of journalists and their pet ecosystem are bawling like \u2018professional rotlus\u2019 ever since @BJP4Assam dropped a video exposing what Assam\u2019s future would look like if Paaijaan ever grabbed power. @BJP4Assam video clearly spoke about the threat of illegal immigrants who are changing Assam\u2019s demography \u2014 but instantly these \u201cchampions of secularism” screamed Islamophobia! Now tell me \u2014 why the \u2018mirchi\u2019 if the issue is about illegals? And here\u2019s the real kicker \u2014 if, in their logic, talking about illegal immigrants = Islamophobia, then aren\u2019t they themselves suggesting that all Muslims are illegal immigrants? Who\u2019s the real Islamophobe here? Them or us?” he wrote on X.<\/p>\n
