Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan on Wednesday questioned the government over the name of Operation Sindoor and said vermilion has been wiped off the foreheads of women whose husbands were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cI must congratulate you (Ruling Party) , for appointing such writers who give such grand names. But why did you name it \u2018Sindoor\u2019? The sindoor has been wiped off the foreheads of women whose husbands were killed,” Bachchan said in the Rajya Sabha during the debate on Operation Sindoor.<\/p>\n

Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan earlier called out the BJP for naming operations after religious symbols.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey know nothing except naming operations after religious symbols. They inject religious fundamentalism into everything they do. They are trying to polarise the situation into a Hindu versus Muslim conflict,” he said.<\/p>\n
