Shreyas Talpade is one of the most loved actors and has given some of the best performances in both Bollywood and Marathi cinema. While he had brought some of the most hilarious characters to life, he once denied one of the most iconic roles. Shreyas Talpade<\/a> recently revealed how he once \u2018unknowingly\u2019 turned down Arshad Warsi\u2019s Jolly LLB character.<\/p>\n

In an interview with HT, Talpade revealed, \u201cI remember meeting director Subhash [Kapoor] Ji, and he narrated a story to me. At that time, I was tied up with other commitments, so things didn\u2019t move ahead. A few years later, when Jolly LLB (2013) released, I watched it and immediately called him to congratulate him.”<\/p>\n

He further added, \u201cI told him, \u2018Sir, what a film, lovely film, I simply loved it, great work.\u2019 And he [Subhash sir] just laughed and said, \u2018Don\u2019t you remember? I had come to you with this film.\u2019 I said, \u2018No sir, I remember meeting you, but this was not the film.\u2019 He said, \u2018Of course, it was Jolly. I changed a few things, but essentially this was the story I brought to you.\u2019”<\/p>\n

\u201cI was shocked when he told me the whole thing. I told him, \u2018Please tell me this was not the same film.\u2019 It unfortunately was. I never knew I was missing out on such an opportunity,” Shreyas further recalled.<\/p>\n

About Jolly LLB<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first Jolly LLB film was released in 2013. Its sequel hit theatres in 2017.<\/a> The first film featured Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles. In the sequel, Akshay Kumar replaced Arshad Warsi and was joined by Huma Qureshi. Produced by Star Studio18 and brought to life by writer-director Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 features an impressive cast including Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Gajraj Rao.<\/p>\n

Shreyas Talpade was last seen in Baaghi 4. This film, starring Shreyas along with Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt, released to mixed reviews and has already grossed over Rs 30 crore in its first weekend. Before this, Shreyas appeared in the \u2018killer comedy\u2019 Housefull 5 and Kapkapiii with Tusshar Kapoor.<\/p>\n
