Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha has said that if his team can execute the plans in place for a long period of time, they can go on to beat any team, sending a stark warning to arch-rivals India ahead of their big-ticket clash in Dubai on Sunday, five months after the Pahalgam attack.<\/p>\n

Calls for boycotting cricketing ties with Pakistan grew louder since the attack in Kashmir, after which India launched \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019 on terrorist bases in the neighbouring nation.<\/p>\n

But India went ahead with the decision to play Pakistan in the Asia Cup<\/a> and that has been met with a lot of flak. The latter are coming off a massive 93-run win against Oman, but the clash against India doesn\u2019t promise to be an easy one.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been playing good cricket in the last 2-3 months and we just have to play good cricket. If we can execute our plans for a long enough period, we are good enough to beat any team,” Agha said when asked about the upcoming clash against India on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Pakistan, choosing to bat first, posted 160\/7 in 20 overs on the back of Mohammad Haris\u2019 fluent 66 off 43 deliveries, laced with seven boundaries and three sixes. They then bundled Oman out for just 67 inside 17 overs, with Saim Ayub, Faheem Ashraf and Sufiyan Muqeem grabbing two wickets each.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the bat, we still need to work. But with the bowling, it was outstanding. The spinners bowled really well,” Agha said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShaheen (Afridi) in his second spell and Faheem also (bowled well). We have three spinners and all are very different. We have Saim as well; he is outstanding with the new and old ball,” Agha added.<\/p>\n

Asked how many runs they should have scored on the pitch, the Pakistan skipper said, \u201cIt is hard to say, but the way we started, we should have scored near 180.”<\/p>\n
