The initiative is designed to simplify international travel for eligible passengers and was first introduced at Delhi&#8217;s Indira Gandhi International Airport in July 2024 followed by Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was then rolled out in Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin and Ahmedabad. On September 11, it was launched at Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Kozhikode and Amritsar international airports.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/travel\/destinations\/amit-shah-inaugurates-fast-track-immigration-at-mumbai-and-six-other-airports-19541779.htm\">\u201cFast Track Immigration: Trusted Traveller Programme<\/a> makes immigration simpler, faster and hassle-free,\u201d Shah said at a virtual launch event, according to PTI. Thousands of passengers have so far used e-gates for faster clearance.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/travel\/delhi-airport-starts-fast-track-immigration-trusted-traveller-programme-what-is-it-and-how-to-apply-19432210.htm\">FTI-TTP is being introduced free of cost in its initial phase<\/a>. It allows eligible travellers to bypass regular immigration queues by using e-gates, where their identity is verified through biometric authentication. A passport with at least six months&#8217; validity is mandatory to complete the process.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, the scheme is modelled on the US&#8217; Global Entry Program, which offers pre-approved, low-risk travellers expedited entry through selected airports.
