S Ramadoss removes estranged son Anbumani from PMK. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Amid the ongoing crisis in Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) in Tamil Nadu, founder S Ramadoss on Thursday expelled his son Anbumani Ramadoss from the party and asked PMK cadre to cut all ties with him. The development came after Ramadoss removed Anbumani from his post of party president, which his estranged son refused to accept.<\/p>\n

Ramadoss accused Anbumani of repeatedly ignoring the advice of party seniors and refusing to heed his father\u2019s counsel.<\/p>\n

The clash between the father-son duo had been brewing for months. While Ramadoss declared himself the party head, Anbumani maintained that he was elected president as per party rules and was also recognised by the Election Commission.<\/p>\n

According to News Minute, the feud between the father and son began after Ramadoss accused Anbumani of forcing him to align with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said making him a minister in the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in 2004 was a big mistake.<\/p>\n

Ramadoss had accused Anbumani of derailing the prospects of the party and bringing disgrace to it.<\/p>\n

Ramadoss revealed the difference of opinion between him and Anbumani over alliances. \u201cMy idea was to align with the AIADMK for the 2024 general elections, and Anbumani spoke to EPS and confirmed the same. But at the last minute, Anbumani and his wife Sowmya came to my residence and held my feet and insisted on joining the BJP alliance. I had no other choice but to agree,” he said.<\/p>\n
