Actor and filmmaker Raju Kher, the younger brother of Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher<\/a>, turned a year older today, September 11. While warm wishes poured in from fans and friends across the country, it was Anupam Kher\u2019s emotional birthday note that stole hearts online. Taking to Instagram, the Tanvi The Great actor shared a nostalgic throwback photo of themselves. He also penned a touching birthday wish, calling Raju his \u201cbestest brother in the entire world” and \u201cquiet supporter.”<\/p>\n

Alongside the post, Anupam also added the classic song Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo from the 1966 film Teesri Kasam. Sung by the late legendary singer Mukesh, the tune is their favourite childhood song that holds deep sentimental value for them.<\/p>\n

In his heart-melting note for Raju, Anupam penned, \u201cHappy Birthday #RajuMereBhai! You are the bestest brother in the entire world! My Quiet Supporter! You are solid, very funny! A wonderful son, father and husband!”<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cYou are stubborn, Adiyal, and sometimes irritating too! But selfless and my ROCK! I have put our favourite childhood song here, which will always remind us of our bonding together!”<\/p>\n

Though often away from the spotlight, Raju Kher has carved a respectable niche in Indian cinema and television over the years. He has been part of popular films like Ghulam, Jungle, Om Jai Jagadish, Shootout At Wadala, Krrish 3, Delhi Belly, Main Tera Hero, Uunchai and Patna Shuklla.<\/p>\n

The veteran actor is currently impressing audiences with his latest release, The Bengal Files. Released on September 5, the film features Anupam Kher essaying the role of Mahatma Gandhi. The film presents a storyline focused on the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings and the Noakhali riots, depicting the violence and its aftermath as a genocide.<\/p>\n

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Bengal Files also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Puneet Issar, Pallavi Joshi, Simrat Kaur, Namashi Chakraborty, Rajesh Khera, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sourav Das, Mohan Kapur and Saswata Chatterjee in important roles. The film is the third and final instalment in Agnihotri\u2019s The Files series after The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022), where Anupam Kher also played a significant role.<\/p>\n

Anupam Kher\u2019s Work Front<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next, he will share the screen space with Rebel star Prabhas in the romantic comedy horror film The Raja Saab. The upcoming Telugu-language movie is written and directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory.<\/p>\n

The Raja Saab, scheduled for a theatrical release on December 5, will release in five languages \u2013 the original Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Besides Prabhas and Anupam Kher, the film also stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Brahmanandam, Riddhi Kumar, Yogi Babu, Anupam Kher, Jisshu Sengupta, and Boman Irani in key roles.<\/p>\n
