Nepal Unrest:<\/strong> As the neighbouring Himalayan nation of Nepal reels under a serious political crisis after violent anti-government protests, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary blamed the Congress party for the unrest, saying that such anarchy is happening because Congress has kept these countries isolated.<\/p>\n

Choudhary asserted that if Nepal had been a part of India at present, there would be peace and prosperity in the neighbouring country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll this is the mistake of Congress. Anarchy is happening because Congress has kept these countries separate. If Nepal had been a part of India today, there would have been peace and happiness in Nepal,” news agency ANI quoted the BJP leader as saying.<\/p>\n

He further emphasised that there is discontent among people, but there should not be anarchy. Choudhary further said that if Pakistan had been a part of India, then today it would also have prospered along with India.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said that if Nepal had been a part of India, it would have been prosperous today. Similarly, if Pakistan had been a part of India, it would also be prosperous today. I want to make it clear that this is the mistake of the Congress, because of which we are facing these challenges,” he added.<\/p>\n

Nepal Crisis<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nepal is reeling under a serious political crisis after two days of anti-government protests saw attacks on private residences of several high-profile leaders, the headquarters of political parties and even the Parliament.<\/p>\n

Nepal\u2019s political landscape was thrown into unprecedented turmoil on Tuesday, as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and President Ram Chandra Poudel resigned in the face of a furious and violent youth-led uprising.<\/p>\n

The protests led by students appeared to reflect the growing public anger with the Oli dispensation over a range of issues, including a ban on social media and alleged inaction against corruption.<\/p>\n

The unrest reached a boiling point with deadly clashes on September 8, when security forces\u2019 response to the protests resulted in at least 19 fatalities. This sparked even greater outrage among demonstrators, predominantly from the digitally native \u201cGen Z” demographic.<\/p>\n

Though the Nepal government on Monday night revoked its ban on social media, following what has been dubbed as \u2018Gen Z\u2019 protests in the neighbouring country, yet the anti-government demonstrations intensified on Tuesday, leading to arson and violence in many cases.<\/p>\n

At present, Nepal is under military rule.<\/p>\n
