A penny stock named Eightco Holdings jumped 3000 per cent in a single day on Wall Street after a slew of announcements. In the early markets on September 08, shares of Eightco Holdings Inc opened at USD 1.43 before reaching in no time at USD 45.08, reflecting a jump of 3000 per cent.<\/p>\n

The sharp surge in the stock price came after the company announced a $270 million private placement and the appointment of Dan Ives, well-known Wall Street analyst and AI expert, as Chairman of the Board.<\/p>\n

The company will issue about 171.2 million shares at $1.46 each, raising $250 million, along with an additional $20 million strategic investment from BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR). The offering is expected to close by September 11, subject to regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n

Eightco plans to use the proceeds to acquire Worldcoin (WLD) as its primary treasury reserve asset, while also holding cash and Ethereum as secondary reserves. In line with this, the company will change its Nasdaq ticker from OCTO to ORBS starting September 11.<\/p>\n

Worldcoin, co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania, has created nearly 16 million zero-knowledge \u201cProof of Human” (PoH) accounts across 45 countries. Its Orb technology verifies unique human identity through iris scanning, aiming to provide a universal, privacy-preserving digital identity system in the AI era.<\/p>\n

Commenting on his new role, Dan Ives said, \u201cWorld is the internet of people. While AI gives us infinite abundance, World gives us infinite trust and authentication.” Altman added, \u201cIf we succeed, World could become the largest network of real people online, changing how we interact and transact throughout the Internet.”<\/p>\n

The transaction was led by MOZAYYX, with participation from major investors including World Foundation, Discovery Capital, Kraken, Pantera, Brevan Howard, and others. RF Lafferty acted as exclusive placement agent, while Cantor Fitzgerald and Moelis & Company served as financial advisors.<\/p>\n

Eightco continues to manage subsidiaries Forever 8 and Ferguson Containers while expanding into new technology-driven opportunities.<\/p>\n
