Farhan Akhtar is all set to make a thunderous return to the big screen with 120 Bahadur, a film rooted in one of the most heroic and overlooked chapters of Indian military history \u2014 the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China War. The much-awaited teaser for the film will be unveiled on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, offering audiences a first glimpse into this untold saga of courage and sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Directed by Razneesh \u201cRazy” Ghai, 120 Bahadur casts Farhan Akhtar in the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, Param Vir Chakra awardee, who led a battalion of 120 soldiers in Ladakh against an overwhelming force of Chinese troops. Despite being vastly outnumbered, these bravehearts held their ground \u2014 a defiant stand so powerful that it reportedly led to a unilateral ceasefire by the Chinese.<\/p>\n

Shot across the harsh terrains of Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai, the film\u2019s production braved sub-zero temperatures at altitudes of 14,000 feet, recreating authentic high-altitude war zones. To ensure cinematic scale and realism, the team brought on board the Oscar-winning action crew from All Quiet on the Western Front and collaborated with Snow Business, the UK-based specialists behind some of the most iconic war sequences in film.<\/p>\n

Backed by Excel Entertainment (Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar) and Trigger Happy Studios (Amit Chandrra), 120 Bahadur promises to be a powerful blend of history, grit, and patriotic fervour. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 21, 2025.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, sources close to the project confirmed to Hindustan Times that the actress came on board after impressing the filmmakers with her recent performances. \u201cRaashii has proved herself with The Sabarmati Report and Yodha, two completely different films and characters. The makers of 120 Bahadur felt that she would be able to hold her ground in a story which is so patriotic and hard-hitting, and bring added depth,” said a source close to the production to the media house. While details about her character remain tightly guarded, her role is said to be crucial to the emotional arc of the narrative.<\/p>\n

With its stirring tale of indomitable courage and brotherhood, 120 Bahadur aims not just to entertain, but to etch the forgotten legacy of Rezang La into the collective memory of the nation.<\/p>\n
