Chrome security risk for Windows and Mac users, and they are being warned.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Google Chrome users on Windows and Macs have been warned about a serious issue that can make it easy for hackers to bypass the security and steal information. The alert from the Indian government this week is also making millions of PC\/Mac users aware about the situation and asking them to act on these concerns right away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The alert has been issued by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team or CERT-IN, on September 8 comes with a \u2018high-severity\u2019 alert to users of Google Chrome on popular platforms like Windows, macOS and Linux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chrome Risk Alert: What The Agency Says<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The alert from CERT-In talks about issues and risks related to some important components in the Chrome browser. \u201cThese vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to Use after free in V8 and Inappropriate implementation in Toolbar, Extensions & Downloads. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a victim to visit a specially crafted web page.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The high-severity rating is always a concern and when you have issues with a product used by over 70 percent of the PC users in the market, the worries are manifold. Chrome is also relied on by businesses and that\u2019s where these vulnerabilities could become dangerous.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
