After a row erupted over an advertisement featuring a picture of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis drawing speculations about an infight in the Mahayuti alliance, Shiv Sena spokesperson Krishna Hegde refuted all such claims.<\/p>\n

In a video address, Hegde said that the advertisement should not be a big deal, as Fadnavis is the face of our government and the Chief Minister of the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn all the Mahayuti advertisements, the faces of all three leaders are shown \u2014 CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Similarly, if there is an advertisement that features only Devendra Fadnavis, no leader or member of Mahayuti has any objection, because he is the face of our government and our Chief Minister,” he said.<\/p>\n

Taking a swipe at the Opposition, he said that the Mahayuti government is working in complete coordination, and there is no internal conflict among us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Mahayuti itself has no objection, I don\u2019t understand why the leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), who are themselves divided and scattered, have a problem,” he added.<\/p>\n

The advertisement showed Fadnavis offering floral tributes to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while another showed him paying obeisance to Lord Ganesh on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi. Both the ads have \u2018Devabhau\u2019 written in Marathi at the bottom.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde asserted that there is no race among the ruling Mahayuti allies to claim credit for work and that he is working with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as a team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not in a race to take credit\u2026 Whether it is the Maratha community or the Other Backwards Classes (OBC) community, the work of delivering justice to them has been done by the Mahayuti government. The validation of this work was already received in the last assembly elections.” \u201cNow Devendraji and I have started our second innings as a team. Going forward, our agenda remains the same \u2013 development of the state and helping the poor and needy,” he told the reporters.<\/p>\n

The advertisement has drawn backlash from the Opposition, with Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut and NCP (SP) Karjat-Jamkhed MLA Rohit Pawar questioning it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is the identity of the invisible donor? The advertisement would have cost Rs 40-Rs 50 crore. While every Marathi should revere Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, using his photo for political mileage and self-promotion is improper,” Rohit Pawar wrote in a post on X.<\/p>\n
