AIADMK general secretary <\/span>Edappadi<\/span> K <\/span>Palaniswami<\/span> said that there is excessive political interference in policing, which he claimed is leading to a rise in honour killings in Tamil Nadu.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is too much political influence in policing, which is causing more honour killings in Tamil Nadu,” he said during an interview with PTI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about the <\/span>Mullaperiyar<\/span> dam issue, he said that the DMK should use its influence in the INDIA alliance to solve the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Political parties may express their wish, but people of Tamil Nadu know that the real face-off is between two big parties, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mullaperiyar<\/span> dam plays a significant role in supporting agriculture and water supply for Tamil Nadu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tamil Nadu has also accused Kerala of blocking routine maintenance work by denying permissions and approvals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The dispute intertwines technical safety, judicial oversight, and intense political friction between the two states.<\/span><\/p>\n
