Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has penned an emotional note after the death of his mother, Varsha Bhatt, at the age of 85.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is mourning the loss of his mother, Varsha Bhatt, who passed away on Saturday, September 6, at the age of 85 after a prolonged illness. While the exact cause of her death has not been disclosed, Vikram has now issued an emotional statement, reflecting on grief, love, and the pain of losing a parent.<\/p>\n

Vikram Bhatt Pens Heartfelt Note On Grief<\/strong><\/p>\n

Breaking his silence a day later, the filmmaker shared how grief comes in waves, describing it as a cyclical experience that refuses to let go. \u201cAt first it is so continuous that it almost seems like a never ending sob that is stuck in your chest \u2014 unwilling to let go of its grasp on you. And then slowly a break in the sob \u2014 a moment of respite as the drudgery of life takes over, only to return more fiercely than before,” Vikram wrote.<\/p>\n

He admitted that though people often say time heals all wounds, he is unsure when \u2014 or if \u2014 that moment will arrive for him. \u201cI know, the time between grief and drudgery will increase, and as they say \u2014 time will heal all wounds \u2014 but that time is not here for me as yet. I wonder if it will come at all. My gratitude to all who shared the pain with me,” he added.<\/p>\n

Final Rites Performed In Mumbai<\/strong><\/p>\n

Varsha Bhatt\u2019s last rites were performed in Versova, Mumbai, at 2 pm on Saturday in the presence of close family members. She was the wife of celebrated cinematographer Pravin Bhatt, whose work has shaped the visual language of some of Bollywood\u2019s most iconic films, including Aashiqui, Sadak, Agneepath, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke.<\/p>\n

Vikram Bhatt\u2019s Upcoming Work<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the professional front, Vikram Bhatt is gearing up for Haunted 3D: Ghosts of The Past, the sequel to his 2011 hit Haunted \u2013 3D. The film will see Mahaakshay Chakraborty reprise his role from the original, with actress Chetna Pande stepping in as the female lead, replacing Pia Bajpayee from the first instalment.<\/p>\n
