Esha Deol has opened up about her separation from Bharat Takhtani. Recently, Hema Malini\u2019s actress daughter was speaking to the YouTube channel Mamaraazzi, when she explained why labels like \u201csingle mother” don\u2019t define her experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t like to think of myself as a single mother because I don\u2019t behave like one nor do I let the other person behave that way with me,” Esha<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

Esha then talked about her equation with Bharat when it comes to coparenting their children. She mentioned that when two people decide to separate, they must maturely understand the situation and focus on their children\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just that in life, sometimes, due to certain things, roles change. And if it doesn\u2019t work out in a certain equation of what two people were at one point, you must take it upon you, especially when you have children, the two mature individuals must take it upon them to work out in another dynamic but keep the unit together for the sake of the children. And that\u2019s exactly what Bharat and I do,” she added.<\/p>\n

Why Did Esha Deol, Bharat Takhtani Part Ways?<\/h4>\n

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani<\/a> got married in 2012 but announced their separation in 2024, i.e. after 11 years of being together. Even though the two did not reveal the reason of their separation, they issued a joint statement confirming it was decided \u201cmutually and amicably”. \u201cWe have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We\u2019d appreciate our privacy is respected,” their statement read. The two are parents to their daughters, Radhya and Miraya.<\/p>\n

Bharat Takhtani Finds Love Again?<\/h4>\n

Recently, Bharat took to his Instagram handle and dropped a romantic photo with a mystery woman named Meghna Lakhani. In the photo, Bharat was seen holding Meghna close as they looked lost in each other\u2019s eyes. In the caption, Esha Deol\u2019s ex-husband wrote, \u201cWelcome to the family, it\u2019s official”.<\/p>\n
